Sicelumusa Gabuza
About me: I am a backend engineer expanding my expertise into the specialized field of data engineering, bringing a strong foundational understanding of scalable systems and data flow from application layer to infrastructure. My background includes designing APIs, architecting data models, and building production-ready systems using Python, Django, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. This experience allows me to approach data engineering with a practical, systems-level perspective on how applications generate, consume, and depend on data. I am currently focused on designing reliable data pipelines, analytics-ready datasets, and modern cloud-based data platforms. Through dedicated, project-based learning, I am strengthening my skills in ETL/ELT processes, data orchestration, data warehousing, and pipeline reliability. My long-term goal is to contribute to scalable, well-governed data systems that enable analytics, operational efficiency, and sound decision-making—particularly in sectors that drive meaningful progress, such as governance, agriculture, and digital services.
